Cisco Meraki MS355.
Multi-gig fiber aggregation, for the Wi-Fi era.
The Meraki MS355 series is a cloud-managed, Layer 3 multi-gigabit switch line purpose-built for high-density access
point aggregation and fiber core switching. Manage it in the Meraki dashboard, with the bandwidth headroom to support
next-gen Wi-Fi 6/6E access points and resilient Layer 3 routing built in, no CLI required.

Specifications
MS355 at a Glance
Port Density & mGig
Models range from the 24-port MS355-24X up to the 48-port MS355-48X2,
with up to 24 multi-gigabit RJ45 ports negotiating 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G over Cat6a
copper. All models add 4x 10GbE SFP+ ports for fiber flexibility, ideal for aggregating dense 802.11ax/Wi-Fi 6E access point deployments.
PoE & Power
Up to 740W of UPoE power budget per switch, delivering up to 60W per port to power
high-draw access points, cameras, and IoT endpoints. Dual hot-swappable power supplies and hot-swappable fans keep the switch online during maintenance or a PSU failure.
Layer 3 Routing & Stacking
Full Layer 3 switching with OSPF, static routing, and IPv4/IPv6 ACLs for use as a
resilient core or aggregation layer. Two dedicated hardware stacking ports deliver up to
400 Gbps of stacking bandwidth, letting multiple units act as a single logical switch.
Cloud Management
Zero-touch provisioning and centralized configuration through the Meraki dashboard
— no CLI required. Includes automatic firmware updates, remote packet capture, SNMP/Syslog integration, and a lifetime hardware warranty with advanced replacement.
Not sure which MS355 model fits your network?
Compare port counts, PoE budgets, and switching capacity across the full MS355-24X, MS355-24X2,
MS355-48X, and MS355-48X2 lineup side by side.
The MS355-24X offers 16 1GbE RJ45 ports plus 8 mGig (100M-10G) RJ45 ports and up to
352 Gbps of switching capacity. The MS355-48X2 steps up to 24 1GbE RJ45 ports and 24 mGig RJ45 ports,
with switching capacity up to 688 Gbps. Both models share the same 4x 10GbE SFP+ ports, 2x 40GbE QSFP+
uplinks, and 740W UPoE budget — the choice mainly comes down to port count and total mGig
density needed for your access point or endpoint deployment.
Yes. Every MS355 model provides a 740W Universal PoE (UPoE) budget, supplying up to
30W per port under PoE+ or up to 60W per port under UPoE — enough to power Wi-Fi 6/6E access
points, PTZ cameras, and other high-draw endpoints without an external injector.
Every MS355 switch includes 4x 10GbE SFP+ ports and 2x 40GbE QSFP+ ports for uplinks
to your core or aggregation layer, giving you the flexibility to run 10G fiber for standard
aggregation or 40G for higher-bandwidth backbone links.
Yes. Each MS355 includes two dedicated hardware stacking ports supporting up to 400
Gbps of stacking bandwidth, allowing multiple physical switches to operate and be managed as a single
logical switch for simplified administration and added resiliency.
Yes, the MS355 supports full Layer 3 switching, including OSPF dynamic routing,
static routes, and IPv4/IPv6 ACLs, making it suitable for core and aggregation roles. As with all
Meraki MS switches, the MS355 requires an active Meraki cloud license (typically Enterprise or
Advanced Security tier) tied to the hardware for dashboard management, firmware updates, and support.
