Specifications
MS410 at a Glance
Performance & Switching
Non-blocking fabric with 72 Gbps of switching capacity on the MS410-16 and
144 Gbps on the MS410-32. 1.2 microsecond latency and jumbo frame support (9578-byte frames) for high-throughput aggregation traffic.
Interfaces & Stacking
16 or 32 x 1G SFP fiber ports plus 2x or 4x 10G SFP+ uplinks
(model-dependent). 2 dedicated hardware stacking ports support physical stacks of up to 8 switches at 160 Gbps, plus virtual stacking for unified management.
Layer 3 Routing & Security
Static routing and OSPFv2, DHCP relay/server, and VRRP-based warm spare for gateway
redundancy. 802.1X/MAB authentication, DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, and IPv4/IPv6 ACLs.
Management & Reliability
100% cloud management via the Meraki dashboard — no CLI required, with zero-touch provisioning
and automatic firmware updates. Hot-swappable, field-replaceable dual power supplies and fans with a full lifetime hardware warranty.
Not sure which MS410 fits your core?
Compare the MS410-16 and MS410-32 side by side — port density, uplink counts, and licensing options
— to find the right aggregation switch for your campus network.
The MS410-16 has 16 x 1G SFP ports, 2 x 10G SFP+ uplinks, and 72 Gbps of switching
capacity, while the MS410-32 has 32 x 1G SFP ports, 4 x 10G SFP+ uplinks, and 144 Gbps of switching
capacity. Both models share the same 2 dedicated hardware stacking ports and 160 Gbps of stacking
bandwidth.
No. The MS410 is a fiber-only aggregation switch designed to sit above the access
layer, so it does not provide PoE/PoE+ ports for endpoints. For PoE to access points, phones, or
cameras, pair the MS410 with a PoE-capable Meraki MS access switch such as the MS130 or MS250 series.
Every Meraki MS410 requires an active Meraki license to connect to the cloud
dashboard and receive firmware updates, remote management, and support. Licenses are sold in matching
term lengths (1, 3, 5, 7, or 10 years) and must be purchased alongside the hardware; the switch will
not fully function without one.
Yes. Each MS410 includes 2 dedicated hardware stacking ports supporting physical
stacks of up to 8 switches with 160 Gbps of stacking bandwidth, in addition to Meraki's virtual
stacking for unified port management across the dashboard.
The MS410-16 and MS410-32 reached end-of-sale for new orders in September 2024, but
Cisco Meraki continues to support existing deployments through at least September 2029. Firewalls.com
stocks new and certified pre-owned MS410 units with active licensing options while supply lasts, and
can help plan a migration path to the current MS4xx-series lineup when the time comes.
