The FortiAP 431G is a high-performance, tri-radio Wi-Fi 6E access point built for dense indoor enterprise
environments — corporate campuses, classrooms, and branch offices that need extended 6 GHz spectrum
for congestion-free connectivity. With integrated antennas, a 5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink, and native
FortiGate/FortiLAN Cloud management, it's designed to scale securely across large indoor deployments.

Not sure the 431G is the right fit?
Compare the FortiAP 431G against the rest of the FortiAP lineup — including the Wi-Fi 6E 433G and
Wi-Fi 7 441K — to find the right balance of speed, radios, and deployment type for your environment.
No. The FortiAP 431G is an indoor-rated access point with no IP ingress rating; for
outdoor or industrial deployments, Fortinet offers the ruggedized FortiAP 432F/432FR series.
The 431G is a Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) tri-radio access point that adds the 6 GHz band on
top of standard 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6, enabling less-congested, higher-capacity connections.
It ships to run on 802.3bt PoE by default, and also supports dual 802.3at PoE inputs
for current sharing across its two 5GbE ports.
It's centrally managed through the integrated wireless controller on any FortiGate
firewall, or through the cloud-based FortiLAN Cloud provisioning and management portal.
Combined across its three radios, the 431G can reach up to 1.148 Gbps on 2.4 GHz,
2.402 Gbps on 5 GHz, and 4.804 Gbps on the 6 GHz radio.
