The Fortinet FortiMail 2000E is a 2U rack-mount secure email gateway built for large enterprises, education
systems, and government agencies that need enterprise-grade protection against spam, phishing, malware, and
business email compromise. With dual hot-swappable power supplies, hardware RAID-protected storage, and
support for up to 2,000 server-mode mailboxes, the 2000E is engineered for always-on, high-volume mail
environments. It's the entry point into Fortinet's high-end FortiMail hardware lineup, delivering enterprise
scale without the throughput demands of a service-provider deployment.

Fortinet rates the 2000E at up to 1.5 million messages per hour for email routing,

Yes. It ships with 2x 2TB drives (expandable up to 6x 2TB) behind a hardware RAID
controller supporting RAID 1, 5, 10, and 50 with hot-spare drives.
The appliance includes dual hot-swappable power supplies, and FortiMail software
supports active-passive and active-active HA pairing between two appliances for full device-level
redundancy.
The 2000E, 3000E, and 3200E share the same 2U chassis and RAID architecture, but the
3000E and 3200E scale to more protected domains, more recipient policies, and significantly higher
throughput — the 3200E also adds dual 10GbE SFP+ ports for carrier-class connectivity.
