The FortiWeb 2000E scales throughput to 2.5 Gbps for mid-to-large enterprise data centers protecting
multiple web applications and APIs. It shares the same 2U dual-power-supply chassis design as the 1000E with
additional 10GE SFP+ uplink capacity and support for up to 64 administrative domains.
The Fortinet FortiWeb 2000E is a Web Application Firewall (WAF) that inspects
HTTP/HTTPS traffic to protect web applications and APIs from OWASP Top 10 attacks, bot abuse, and
zero-day exploits. It is typically deployed by mid-to-large enterprise data centers running multiple
production web applications.
The FortiWeb 2000E is rated for up to 2.5 Gbps of protected WAF throughput. Actual
throughput depends on which inspection features (SSL offload, deep content inspection, bot mitigation)
are enabled.
The 2000E is a legacy model, superseded by the current FortiWeb 2000F; it no longer
appears on Fortinet's current datasheet. Contact us to confirm current availability or to spec a 2000F
replacement.
Yes. FortiWeb supports Active-Passive and Active-Active HA clustering so you can
eliminate single points of failure in front of production web applications.
FortiWeb models scale by throughput, port density, and storage rather than feature
set — the full WAF, bot mitigation, and API protection feature set is available across the line.
Choose the FortiWeb 2000E based on your traffic volume and required interface types; see the
comparison table below for the full lineup.
