Fortinet FortiWeb VM08.
Virtual FortiWeb protection, sized for 2–8 vcpu.
The Fortinet FortiWeb VM08 brings the full FortiWeb Web Application Firewall engine to your own virtual
infrastructure or the public cloud. Licensed by vCPU count (2–8 vCPU), it delivers up to 3 Gbps of protected
throughput and supports the same HA clustering, bot mitigation, and API protection features as the hardware
appliance line.
The Fortinet FortiWeb VM08 is a virtual-machine version of FortiWeb, deploying the
same Web Application Firewall engine as the hardware appliances on your own hypervisor or in the
public cloud. It's sized for 2–8 vCPU and up to 3 Gbps of protected throughput.
FortiWeb-VM runs on VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, open source Xen,
VirtualBox, and KVM, as well as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
Yes. FortiWeb-VM supports Active-Passive and Active-Active HA clustering, the same as
the hardware appliance line.
Recommended memory and storage scale with the vCPU tier — see the FortiWeb VM08 specs
above. Storage ranges from 40 GB minimum up to 2 TB.
FortiWeb-VM is a full VM image deployable on hypervisors and public clouds with HA
support. FortiWeb-VMC is a Docker container image for container-native environments and does not
support HA — choose VM when failover clustering or broader platform portability matters.
