WatchGuard Firebox T145-W.
Fanless. Wi-Fi 7. 10G fiber uplink. All in one box.
The Firebox T145-W combines everything in the wired T145 with built-in Wi-Fi 7 on external dual-band
antennas, giving mid-size offices and active branch locations a single appliance that handles the firewall,
wireless, and a 10G fiber uplink without separate hardware or extra licensing. The fully fanless design runs
silently at any load, making it a practical fit for open-plan offices and shared spaces where a fan would be
disruptive.

Specifications
T145-W at a Glance
Performance
UTM throughput (full scan with AV, IPS, App Control): 710 Mbps. Firewall throughput: 3.90 Gbps (UDP
1518). VPN throughput: 1.94 Gbps (UDP 1518). IPS throughput: 1.03 Gbps. HTTPS inspection: 380 Mbps.
Antivirus: 1.06 Gbps. Concurrent connections: 3,850,000. New connections per second: 26,500. Adding
wireless does not reduce any throughput spec versus the wired T145.
Connectivity
1x 2.5Gb Ethernet, 4x 1Gb Ethernet, and 1x SFP/SFP+ (accepts 1Gb SFP or 10Gb SFP+ transceivers).
Built-in Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) with dual-band external SMA antennas for greater range and throughput. Fully
fanless and silent operation. 20 EDR Core sensors included. 1 Serial port and 2 USB-A 3.2 ports.
Unrestricted VLANs.
VPN and SD-WAN
25 Branch Office VPN (site-to-site) tunnels. 25 Mobile VPN connections. Site-to-site VPN over IKEv2,
IPSec, policy and route-based tunnels, and TLS hub and spoke. Remote access over IKEv2, IPSec, L2TP, and
TLS. SD-WAN with multi-WAN failover, dynamic path selection, and jitter, loss, and latency measurement.
Active/passive and active/active high availability clustering.
Security Services
Stateful packet inspection, TLS decryption, and proxy firewall. Basic Security Suite includes IPS,
Gateway AV, Application Control, WebBlocker, spamBlocker, and Reputation Enabled Defense. Total Security
Suite adds APT Blocker, IntelligentAV, DNSWatch, ThreatSync (XDR), and 20 EDR Core sensors. Over 100
dashboards and reports in WatchGuard Cloud, including PCI and HIPAA compliance.
T145-W vs. T125-W or wired T145?
The T145-W is the wireless variant of the wired T145, with identical throughput specs and port counts.
Compare it against the T125-W or wired T145 on the full series comparison page to find the right fit for
your site.
The T145-W is identical to the T145 in every performance and port spec, including 710
Mbps UTM throughput, the SFP/SFP+ fiber port, and 25 Branch Office VPN tunnels. The only difference is
the built-in Wi-Fi 7 radio with external dual-band antennas on the T145-W. If your site needs
integrated wireless and you do not want to buy and manage a separate access point, the T145-W is the
straightforward choice.
The T145-W uses Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) with external SMA antennas, supporting higher
aggregate throughput and lower latency than Wi-Fi 6 and 6E connections. The external antennas let you
orient them for better coverage in your space. For a single open-plan office with up to 75 users, the
built-in radio provides solid coverage. Larger or multi-floor sites should add dedicated WatchGuard AP
hardware managed through the same WatchGuard Cloud account.
Yes. Like the wired T145, the T145-W is built around an ultra-low-power CPU that
allows fully fanless operation at all load levels. It runs silently, making it a good fit for
open-plan offices, reception areas, and quiet environments where fan noise would be disruptive. Adding
the Wi-Fi 7 radio does not change the fanless design of the appliance.
The SFP/SFP+ port accepts 1Gb SFP or 10Gb SFP+ transceivers for a high-speed fiber
WAN uplink or a connection to a core switch. This lets the T145-W handle multi-gig fiber ISP circuits
without the copper WAN port creating a throughput bottleneck. Transceivers are sold separately and
must be compatible with WatchGuard hardware.
Yes. The T145-W supports active/passive and active/active HA clustering in the same
way as the wired T145. Two T145-W units can cluster together for failover or load sharing. HA requires
WatchGuard's HA license, and both units in the cluster must be the same model. Both wired and wireless
interfaces participate in the cluster configuration.
Not sure if the T145-W covers your site?
Tell us your user count, ISP speed, how many wireless zones you need, and whether fiber uplink is a
requirement. A certified WatchGuard engineer at Firewalls.com will tell you whether the T145-W is the
right fit or whether separate AP hardware makes more sense.
